The Opportunity:

SoftTech is in search for a dynamic and self-starting Business Analyst in their construction/real-estate/infrastructure products team. The responsibilities include evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, identifying areas of improvement, help develop the solutions and product roadmaps. Taking initially loosely-defined opportunities and create a structured, data-driven way of understanding/evaluating them. Performing quantitative and qualitative market and customer research and support analysis of market needs such as state/federal regulations, sales and marketing

Required Qualifications/Key Attributes/Competencies:

• Minimum educational qualifications: 4-year college degree in Engineering. An MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a business analyst in the technology delivery for construction/real-estate/infrastructure industry related use cases
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop a hypothesis and drive market research and analysis to test the hypothesis
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
• Experience in conducting interviews with stakeholders to gather required information
• Ability to translate business requirements into user stories, use cases and technical requirements
• Must have strong oral, written and inter-personal communication skills, assimilate data from multiple sources and present the information succinctly
• Strong skills with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Job activities will include:

• Assimilating complex information from multiple sources and synthesize clear takeaways
• Developing an understanding of SoftTech’s current services/product portfolio

• Working closely with internal sales/pre-sales teams to align the industries needs and contributing actively in shaping the service/product offering strategy
• Meeting with stakeholders to identify business needs and clearly communicating those to the product owner teams through user stories
• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders during the product development cycle to ensure customer needs are met
• Engaging with multiple internal SoftTech teams and help research relevant information to arrive at the go-no/go decisions
• Identifying relevant industry forums and representing SoftTech in the forums/conferences
